As I was driving home I reflected on the experience. Not necessarily the placements and the performance of each of my dogs but rather the whole experience. Running and or scouting 6 dogs is exhausting.

While I was completely exhausted each day, the fellowship at days end made it all worth it. As I drove, I realized that just a few years ago those visiting around the trailer only consisted of a modest few.

The people make the sport. It may take great dogs but happy and willing owners makes it happen. Weimaraners are very, very different between bloodlines. And good breeders should know how to do that.
