The Mary Duke Biddle Scholars program provides funds to encourage the global health interests of trainees in pediatrics by sending them overseas to provide clinical care to children most in need. A lecture series that features seminars on the intersection of women, sexual and gender minorities, and health. This program is to connect medical students with residents through specialty centered socials in order for organic mentoring relationships to grow.

While open to all medical students, this program has a special focus on those students who are underrepresented in medicine. To save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. SPHERE is one of five national centers funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities to focus on using precision-medicine tools to improve the health of underserved ethnic and racial groups. This course examines the theoretical basis and societal context of social determinants of health, health disparities, and health equity.

This course explores the processes through which social status and environmental determinants adversely affect health and drive inequalities. The Stanford Medicine Abilities Coalition SMAC fosters and advocates for the equal treatment and well-being of all students, trainees, faculty and staff at Stanford Medicine, regardless of their physical or cognitive differences.
