It has been my experience with Windows 7 that mostly everything that works on Vista will work on Windows 7 as well, so you may be in luck grabbing one that is compatible with Vista and it working with Windows 7. Message 9 of OK enter password for handheld if it asks it will hopefully sync to your correct handheld user name; might take a few minutes sync may generate messages; hopefully nothing serious launch palm desktop "as administrator" hopefully you will see all your data got synced to the palm desktop return UAC to it's original setting REBOOT one more time launch palm desktop normally; hopefully it still looks the same with all your data add something to your handheld; add something different to the palm desktop hit the sync button hopefully both new items got synced to the opposite side I'm still not sure what did the trick for me.
Filho from Brasil. Thanks so much, PalmDr! Saved everything! Previous Palm desktop on Windows 7 and Hard Drive crashed. Now wrestling with Windows 10, more ways than this! Loaded version 6. Then 64 bit Drivers then installed easily as per the instructions, and Hot Sync worked perfectly.

I connect the USB cable from the cradle to a USB slot in my pc and press the synchronization button on the cradle or select the Hotsync program in it. I need a USB driver for the palm m I have, because so-far I can only use it as stand alone or to recharge the battery - no synchronization or installation possible in it. Version: 6. Make sure you have HotSync manager loaded on your PC. Just leave COM1 selected because that is for your serial connection and you're not using that. I see. Maybe 3. Good luck.
